Bibelot Bay is home of The Mermaid Tribe,
of smart and beautiful water lovers.
Adventure, sunshine and starlight.
Surf, SUP, dive, freedive, subsistence spearfishing, yoga, art, science, and stories of sirens and the sea.
Bibelot Bay is a wild, gorgeous cove, where there is glassy surf, and water of deep blues, greens,
azures and aquamarines.
The sand is of softest white, glittery black, and
hues of sunset, moonshine and night sky,
are cast in its fine,
Stories are recorded in the Bibelot Bay Journal of Ocean Adoration. (Explore HERE)
Your newsletter, Azure, arrives at your toes in the warm sand,
in a seaglass bottle with your name on it. (Get your copy HERE)

Pretty Surf Ocean Love Retreat
You might be interested in the most magnificent and delicious Pretty Surf Ocean Love Retreat,
in March 2016 (Southern Hemisphere summer).
A little reprieve from the inevitable December to March maddnessess,
this creative escapade in the artful surf town of Raglan, New Zealand,
will have you feeling like you’ve had a 5-week holiday in just 7 days.
Speaking of economic efficiency and ever-after soulful body bliss.
P.S Did you know that playing in water is really, really good for your brain?
Creative + Free : Coloring Fun
Ocean in a Drop is a worldwide colouring play mission.
If you’re into fun things to do, by your gorgeous self, or with your favourite people, consider this:
Ocean in a Drop is a free colouring project via Pretty Fish Art.
I have done two detailed illustrations of amazing sea life and how we love to play in and around water,
and it all fits into a water drop shape!
There is currently a New Zealand and a California (U.S) version.
My dream is to collect and share pictures of coloured artwork,
and stories of the people who have taken part in this project.
You get to keep this free piece of art you helped to create,
and be a part of a fun online display of many coloured drops.
The icing on the cake, would be to show an exhibit of the coloured drops in a public space!
A little about me:
Born and raised on Singaporeanese cuisine, with ancestors in South China and Hainan Island,
schooled in brain science and ocean play in Australia, drunk on natural beauty and marine research in NZ,
being romanced by California, ready for the rest of the world.
Madly in love with the ocean, tidepools, surfing, Standup paddling SUP, diving, freediving,
spearfishing, roadtrips, camping, exploring and starshine.
Obsessed about beautiful bathtubs when on land.
Painting and drawing (via Pretty Fish Art) especially for boards and boats keep me peppy.
My dreams include:
1. Going on coastal exploration expeditions on an SUP,
with a surfboard and supplies in tow, with a mask and snorkel on my head
( I wrote a sincere poem about that and sent it to The Inertia, but they would have none of it);
2. searching for waves on horseback, and
3. freediving with great white sharks.
4. I would like to eat my way around the world, specialising in seafood.
These dreams keep me smiling while I stand around in mud-caked gloves,
checking out oysters, snails, seaweed and sea cucumbers,
and navigate data spreadsheets for my PhD in sustainable seafood.
It hurts my brain and makes me hungry.
I feel pleased and really accomplished when writing stuff out in my waterproof eco-friendly journal,
but I can’t read my writing sometimes. I’m mostly either vague, blunt or flippant.
And when I laugh out loud, it’s usually just me. I’ve learnt to be ok with that.
At my most charming worst,
I am critical,
competitive (towards the voices in my head, which I do believe are sometimes the voices in others’ heads),
confused and cranky.
So believe me when I go on about how the water does you good.
